Wal-Mart to Start Black Friday Deals Earlier Than Ever

Wal-Mart’s (NYSE:) eagerness to get its Black Friday holiday sales event started is reaching .

The discount retailing behemoth will launch its “post-Thanksgiving Day” super-sales starting at 8 p.m., two hours earlier than last year’s launch. Some of the specials available at 8 p.m. include $10 video games and discounted home appliances.

Customers will also have a Wal-Mart guarantee. People in line between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. are guaranteed to get discounted purchases of three items, an Apple (NASDAQ:) iPad 2, a 32-inch Emerson (NYSE:) LCD TV, and an

LG Blu-ray player.

After those 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. specials, the stores will return to regular pricing until 5 a.m., when other Black Friday deals will begin.

Wal-Mart isn’t the only big-name retailer looking for a quick start to Black Friday. Sears (NASDAQ:) is also opening at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Here are some other major retailers that will get started a bit later:

  • Kohl’s (NYSE:): Opens at midnight Black Friday
  • Macy’s (NYSE:): Opens at midnight Black Friday
  • Best Buy (NYSE:): Opens at midnight Black Friday
