Here are a few stocks to keep an eye on:
- Shares of Bed Bath & Beyond (NASDAQ:) rose 2.4% in early Thursday trading after the company beat Wall Street’s first-quarter profit and revenue expectations. Same-store sales rose about 7% in the quarter, down from an 8.4% rise a year earlier.
- Red Hat (NYSE:) gained 4.6% after the company topped analysts’ first-quarter profit and revenue estimates. Quarterly revenue rose nearly 27% from a year ago.
- Bristol-Myers (NYSE:) was up 5.2% and Pfizer (NYSE:) shares gained 2.2% after the companies announced that their Eliquis drug meet its primary and key secondary endpoints in a Phase III study of patients with atrial fibrillation and at least one additional risk factor for stroke.
- Paychex (NASDAQ:) rose 1% after the company met Wall Street’s fiscal fourth-quarter profit expectations but beat revenue estimates. The company similarly projected profit within current estimates for its current fiscal year but said revenue would top the Street’s current expectations.
